Inaugural #POTA activation of AU-11192 Never Never River on the Australian east coast. #hamradio #amateurradio

Today I am doing the inaugural #POTA activation of the Never Never River AU-11192 on the north coast of the state of New South Wales on the east Coast of Australia between Sydney and Brisbane.

The Never Never River runs from the World Heritage Listed Dorrigo National Park into the Bellinger River, between Bellingen and Thora. The Never Never River is one of the top tourist attractions due to its pristine waters and flora and fauna.

I will be on 15 and 40 metres between 0230 and 0400 UTC on Sunday 26 April 2026. I am using a JPC-12 vertical and Icom IC-7300. I am at Arthur Keogh Rserve adjacent to the river (-30.38817105243751,152.88494455712274) .
