Small clip-on wearable Bluetooth speaker – Monster Blaster Atom – great sound, loud, light for its size and solidly built

This is cool. It’s called the Blaster Atom by Monster who have been around for decades. I picked it up for USD40 (AUD70). It’s a small Bluetooth speaker;  it’s quite loud, the sound quality is fine, it’s light enough and feels solid. It just works.

Why did I get it? I walk in the bush and on the beach a lot, but I don’t always want headphones in. I’d like to listen to both nature and things of interest (books, podcasts, music and live radio).

The Monster Blaster Atom magnetically clips onto my hat, shirt/jacket, belt or backpack straps. It can also be clipped onto a carabiner clip.

If you get two, you can form a stereo pair! And it has buttons for play/ pause and you can use it as a speakerphone! It’s an amazing little piece of kit. It weighs 81 grams and measures 48 mm x 65 mm x 32 mm.

I’ve included a shot of the USB-A to USB-C cable to illustrate the size. I’ve also done a video in the quiet at home and on a noisy beach. And yes that’s beach sand on it.

In Australia, I got it through Aditek, the Monster distributor. It’s available globally through a variety of distributors. It comes in Black, Red and White.
