It was my intention today to go out for a POTA activation but the bands were showing up as Fair or Poor on DX Look and a quick scan of 40 metres had no activity at all.
There were some feint tones however on 15 metres using FT8. And bang, the FW1P DXpedition to Wallis and Futuna Islands in the middle of the Pacific (to the right of Cape York and sort of above New Zealand) was active. You can read about the DXpedition on DX-World.
FW1P is Janusz Wegrzyn a Polish DXpeditioner with a very impressive record. Thanks for being out there Janusz!
