Great Circle Map based on Sydney for #amateurradio #hamradio #vk #swl

This map comes courtesy of the National Library of Australia. I remember having a copy in the 1980’s to aid my shortwave listening hobby. This map is as relevant today as it was back in the 1960’s, indeed since the first international shortwave broadcasts in the 1920’s when it all began.

A vintage world map from 1966, featuring an azimuthal equidistant projection with Sydney at the center. The map is colored orange and blue, displaying continents, oceans, and countries. Call signs for countries are listed alongside the map.
