I grew up by the beach, lived not far from Sydney Harbour for years and have lived in towns with rivers… Murray (Albury), Manning (Taree) and Hunter (Newcastle). I never gave much thought to them. Since moving to Bello, the Bellinger River has become a friend… I see it every day, inquire about its health, help protect it, and sometimes play with it. It’s a living thing.
