Around this time last year (September 2024), I decided to get into amateur radio after SWL DXing back in the 1980’s. I was looking for a hobby and I made a great choice. I am having so much of fun… HF, sats, POTA, FT8 and DStar.
There’s been a lot of trial and error over the last year and I thought I would share my “0 to 100” experience on a page – Foundation – named after the Foundation (starter or beginners) licence in Australia.
It’s a process or workflow from obtaining your licence through to getting gear and keeping up with things. And if you are an Apple device user, it will be even more handy. Further thoughts, links and suggestions are welcome.
