So, over the years I had heard the word antipodes, more so being in Australia as we are far flung to our colonial masters.
Today i learned what antipodes actually means, it’s the exact opposite of where you are in the world.
Say you started digging and in a straight line through the middle of the earth. Where would you end up?
I’d end up mid Atlantic, near the Azores islands, roughly between the US state of Georgia and the entrance to the Mediterranean. That’s my antipodes.
